Eris D’Eir is a contemporary aerialist, circus artist, circus coach, and event creator based in Montreal. In their performing work, they specialize in aerial acrobatics, fire performance, and fakirism. Their work combines emotionally driven movements with an inquiry into embodiment, transformation, and the phenomenology of danger. Through a multidisciplinary practice, they explore how risk, sensation, and perception shape the experience of both performer and audience.
Eris brings extensive experience in event creation, working as a director, producer, and event manager across a wide range of immersive and circus-based productions. Their portfolio includes collaborations with esteemed clients such as Nicholas Feuillatte, The Baltimore Museum of Art, and New York City’s Starrett-Lehigh Building, among others. They design and coordinate every aspect of an event—from artistic vision and performer direction to logistics, technical production, and audience flow—whether in intimate cabaret settings, large-scale galas, or site-specific performances. Collaborating with diverse teams of artists, technicians, and producers, Eris specializes in crafting experiences that are both seamless in execution and transformative in atmosphere, uniting professionalism with imagination to leave a lasting impression on audiences.
As a coach Eris brings technical training, kinesiology-informed injury prevention, and artistic pedagogy to a confluence. Eris teaches aerial apparatuses (trapeze, silks, rope, hoop, chains, straps loops, hammock, and duo work) as well as flexibility and fire, and works with prestigious institutions such as Académie de Cirque and The National Circus of Montreal.
